Fenella Buchanan

I am an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant and Humanities tutor whose practice is grounded in calm structure, rigorous safeguarding, and a deep respect for neurodivergent learners. Over the last decade, I have navigated the education system for my own daughters and worked across both mainstream and specialist settings. This dual perspective—as both a professional and a parent—drives my commitment to providing a space where young people feel safe enough to learn.

Why Emberfield Growth Exists

Emberfield Growth grew out of years of working alongside thoughtful, curious, creative young people who struggled to remain well in systems that were never designed with them in mind.

Over time, it became clear to me that many young people do not need more pressure or intervention—they need calm structure, meaningful relationships, time to think, and space to grow into themselves.

The Vision: Starting Small with Big Dreams

I believe in starting small to ensure absolute integrity. By launching as a private mentoring practice, I am perfecting a model of humane, nature-led education.

Looking Ahead: While I currently operate as a private tutor, my long-term vision is to evolve correctly and legally into a teeny-tiny, registered Independent School based in my woodland. By joining the Founding Four, you are supporting the seed of this future.
