Community Fit & Admissions

Emberfield is a deliberately curated learning community, designed for young people who don’t thrive in mainstream school but are able, with support, to take part in shared community life.

Fit matters — not as gatekeeping, but as an act of care for the young person, the community, and the adults holding the space. Emberfield is not a last-resort provision, nor a setting for ongoing behavioural crisis.

Admissions are relationship-led. Each family and young person is met individually, with time taken to explore readiness, expectations, and mutual fit.

Clear boundaries are an act of kindness. Where Emberfield isn’t the right fit, we support families with honesty and care to explore alternatives.
